Writing Down the Bones

I will be doing a reading about the burdens a black woman carries by virtue of living and working in spaces characterized by whiteness. This will be followed by a conversation about the authors—James Baldwin, Ntozake Shange, and Audre Lorde, among others—whose work has been the lifeblood for my own writing and understanding of the world. Event will take place at Calvin College in the CFAC recital hall.
