We Are Still Here.

A freestyle book club for the convinced, the fed-up, the committed agents of change who are not done turning the world upside down.

We are living through an era, where the proponents of white supremacy are trying to take us all out- everyone occupying a marginalized body and everyone supporting us. But we are still here. We have not given up. We have not shut up. And we are still committed to our own learning and unlearning. In a world where its becoming harder to find one another and increasingly dangerous to stand for the human dignity of all, this can be a place where you are not controlled by the algorithm, but led by the love you possess for humanity. May this be a place where we all experience the regenerative hope of social justice.

Join the Club

Released in 2018, Im Still Here is the little book that lights a spark in its readers. Using compelling storytelling, Austin drags daily racial injustices into the light- illuminating the ways the status quo is keeping us from honoring the inherent human dignity of every body. If you are one the many readers who has decided that “doing nothing is no longer an option” this book club is for you.

Curated Resources

A community newsletter will announce our theme, timeframe, and a list of resources for diving deep into the theme. Resources may include essays, books, music, films, podcasts and more. You can freestyle your education by choosing which resources you are able to invest in as we go.

Virtual Learning

Paid members of the book club, will also receive an invitation to a virtual gathering with Austin at the close of each theme. Austin will use this time to teach on the theme, drawing from the resources she has given. The time will close with an open Q&A.

Reflection + Application

Those who become paid members, will receive resources for contemplation and application of what you’re learning as well. This may include reflection questions, a fun check list or other ways to begin implementing your learning into your daily life.

Community Chat

And finally, paid members have access to a group chat for processing what you are learning together. The chat is intended to be helpful and empowering- offering a space that is social but untouched by algorithms and founded on an ethic of care.
