Rooted in honoring the inherent dignity of all people, particularly those society marginalizes, our work together seeks to turn the status quo upside down. Let’s create something new together.

Coaching

Anti-racism is innovation.

Anti-racism is creative.

Anti-racism is heart.

But it’s also complex. When done faithfully, the pursuit of racial justice touches everything- internal and external policies, traditions, budgets, people. And it can be tough trying to create new solutions to meet the specific needs of your organization, clients, students or neighbors.

I’d like to help with a coaching session.

What I can promise you, is a session without shame, judgement or hopelessness.

Together we will meet to talk through your understanding of racial justice, the specific challenges of your organization, and the areas where you can start building a plan for the future. During our time together you will receive:

  • The chance to ask any questions you wish about anti-racism issues or definitions

  • Resources for deepening your understanding of anti-racism

  • A safe place to process your experiences in pushing for anti-racism

  • A clear understanding of your current culture and ways to influence that culture

  • A co-created list of ways your organization can implement change

Sometimes the helpers need help, too.

  • "As a mental health advocate, I've found Austin's words to be encouraging and seasoned with grace, while still challenging us to see people in their humanity."

    —Jennifer O

  • "As an educator, Austin has guided me to providing a more culturally responsive classroom that meets the needs of all students."

    —Samantha B

  • "Austin has an uncanny ability to meet people where they are and push them to do more."

    —Daphne

  • "Five years later and I still think about the stories Austin shared and her candid answers during the Q&A."

    —Amanda S

The perfect opportunity for small groups

I wish I could put together an easy plan for your organization- one that is simple to implement, will win you friends, and won’t cause any discomfort. (Doesn’t that sound wonderful?!) But what I have to offer you is even better- it includes creativity and imagination, it includes new voices and new resources, it includes your community and a particular magic that transforms discomfort into meaning making. I know you can do this because showing up with innovation, creativity and heart is something you’ve already had a lot of practice doing. You are the expert of your organization, and I believe you are perfectly suited for this moment. You just need a partner, a coach.

Librarians. Community leaders. Social workers. School staff and administration. Small business owners. Neighborhood pastors. Future professionals in health and human services. If your primary goal is to create spaces where the inherent dignity of every body is honored, but you aren’t always sure how to get there- Austin can help.

The pursuit of justice was never meant to be done alone. We were always supposed to gather in a room and do this together. I can’t wait to meet you.
