Collaborations, partnerships and sharing of resources can be a game changer for us. If you are interested in lending support, you can read about the open opportunities below and send us a message by scrolling to the bottom of the page. We can’t wait to hear from you.
Team needs We have a producer, illustrator, and operations person in place. But we would love to have an editor who is passionate about history and education. If you are willing to offer a discount or gift your skills, please send us a message below.
Miles Donations The costs of traveling are sky high right now, but we are determined to head to the archives to uncover buried stories. Gifting miles will go a long way toward making sure Austin and a research assistant can get there.
Gift Cards / In-KindHotel gift cards, flight miles, box store gift cards, hard drives… If you prefer to give directly, send us a message below.
Introductions There are many foundations that do not accept applications or submissions- they rely on invitations. If you know of a foundation that loves to support counter-cultural storytelling of Black history, send them our way!
Spread the word It might not seem like a big deal, but every time you share about this project, the possibilities for support grow. Please share this with your social media audience, your friends, family and members of your community.
We want your stories Stories are the life blood of this project. If you or a family member participated in the 1960s riots, will you share the story with us? Click here to get started.
